The San Mateo County Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in the evening. The accident happened close to the historic Filoli house at around 5 p.m. The collision involved a bicyclist.
According to the officials, a bicyclist, identified as Lester Legarda, 37 was struck by a car on Old Canada Road.
Legarda was declared dead at the scene by the officials. As a precaution, the car’s driver and another passenger were taken to the hospital. The present state of their injuries is not yet known at this time.
It is unsure what caused the crash. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
