37-Year-Old DeAngelo Banks Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Rialto (Rialto, CA)

According to the Rialto Police Department, a 37-year-old man was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Sunday. 

Roughly at 4:30 a.m., 23-year-old Bryan Perez riding a 2003 Ford Explorer, hit the 37-year-old DeAngelo Banks and escaped the scene. DeAngelo was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Immediately after the crash, an RPD officer unknowingly drove over the body which he initially thought was an object, in the roadway of 800 block of Rialto Avenue East of Spruce Street. 

Later, Perez was detained and charged with hit-and-run causing injury or death. Investigators found that Perez didn’t have a driving license. Alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
