The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident near Madera County on January 8. The accident occurred on Avenue 7 near Firebaugh Boulevard in Madera County around 8.50 a.m.
According to the officials, 37-year-old Cassandra Cedillo lost control of her Jeep, which then overturned. Cedillo was allegedly not wearing her seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger in the vehicle alongside Cedillo was unharmed.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
