The Pittsburg police officials reported a hit-and-run accident on Railroad Avenue on January 5. The accident occurred on the 1200 block of Railroad Avenue around 1.35 a.m.
Following the crash, the victim, a 36-year-old, was immediately rushed to the hospital. According to the officials, he was pronounced dead before he could reach the hospital. The identity of the victim is withheld until the authorities inform his family.
The 42-year-old woman who caused the accident fled the scene but was later arrested within hours of the collision.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
