36-Year-Old Jon P Martin Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Mason County (Mason County, WA)

The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Mason County on Friday afternoon.

A 36-year-old Jon P Martin from Shelton was traveling eastbound on Hurley Waldrip Rd at around 2 p.m. and tried to cross the U.S. Highway 101.

A 28-year-old Shelton resident was driving southbound on 101 and struck Martin’s car.

Martin’s car was struck on the driver’s side by the second vehicle, and both vehicles came to rest in the southbound lane of 101, which was closed for more than three hours.

At the scene, Martin was pronounced dead.

Two children and a 31-year-old woman from Shelton were among the three injured occupants of the second vehicle who were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
