The Los Angeles Police Department reported a pedestrian accident in Hollywood that killed a 36-year-old man. The victim was identified as Heriberto Jimenez by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The accident occurred at Lankershim Boulevard South of Valerio Street. Jiminez was struck by a vehicle. He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorist escaped the scene. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved in the collision.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
