According to the San Angelo Police, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Monday morning.
Officials confirmed that one San Angelo Police Sergeant was injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 2600 block of Southland Boulevard.
The suspect vehicle was a Ford Escape that was spotted driving recklessly.
The officer caught the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on it, however the suspect fled the stop at a high speed.
Then the vehicle was caught once again and while turning around collided with a pursuing patrol suit damaging both vehicles badly.
The suspect was identified as 36 Year Old Crystal Robles and was arrested for DUI and evading arrest.
The injured Sergeant was transported to Concho Valley ER for treatment.
