Louisiana State Police Troop A is investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on LA 19 south of LA 10 in East Feliciana Parish.
The victim was identified as Brandon Martin, 36, of Holden.
A preliminary investigation into the crash revealed that Martin was heading south on LA 19 in a 2015 Audi sedan.
He traveled off the roadway when he attempted to pass a vehicle and struck a driveway embankment. The vehicle became airborne due to the impact and hit a utility pole before overturning.
Martin sustained fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. According to the troopers, he was restrained during the crash.
A routine toxicology sample was obtained and sent for analysis.
