The New Mexico State Police reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon. The accident happened at White Water Road, off State Road 90 south of Silver City.
The collision involved only one vehicle. Eastbound 2004 Buick was found to have rolled over after veering off the road and hitting a dirt embankment by NMSP officers.
Tyler Trusty, 35, of Caballo was found dead inside the vehicle by police.
Investigators are still unsure of what caused the car to stray from the path. However, they claimed that Trusty didn’t use his seat belts properly and that alcohol might have played a role.
