A tragic incident has left family members grieving after 35-year-old Megan Maiorana lost her life in a fatal crash allegedly caused by her husband’s speeding and drunk driving. The incident occurred on Friday night near Estrella Parkway and Willis Road in Goodyear, Arizona, where Anthony Joseph Maiorana, 35, crashed their car into a lake.
Anthony, reportedly intoxicated, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fly about 100 feet before submerging in the lake. Despite efforts by witnesses and officers, Megan remained trapped in the car and tragically drowned.
Anthony, rescued from the scene, faces serious charges including manslaughter and DUI. Emphasizing the preventable nature of such tragedies caused by impaired driving.
