According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Tehama County claimed the life of a 35-year-old man on Friday.
A 35-year-old man driving a 2015 Nissan Sentra northbound on Highway 99 lost control of the vehicle and moved into the path of a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling southbound driven by 54-year-old Brown. As a result, both the vehicles collided and the driver of the Nissan was airlifted. However, he was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
