The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash that killed a 35-year-old man in Ramona on Tuesday. The accident occurred on State Route 78 near Barnett Drive at around 7:00 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a collision. A 35-year-old man was driving a Ford F-250 west on the highway when it moved into the eastbound lanes. This caused it to crash head-on into a Subaru Outback. The Ford then flipped down and crashed into a tree. As a result, the driver of the Ford was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
