The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident on Friday.
The accident occurred on the 55 Freeway at night.
According to the officials, a 2019 Porsche 911 was heading south at a high speed when it suddenly turned right. The car then hit the center divider of the freeway.
Witnesses reported that the car had been split in half due to the force of the collision. The driver of the vehicle was thrown from the vehicle and incurred critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been revealed pending notification of the next of kin.
The fatal accident is still being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
