35-Year-Old Laura Lee Killed In A Motor-vehicle Crash On US Highway 71 (Boyce, LA)

The Louisiana State Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash on US Hwy 71 at Gene Ball Road on Tuesday just before 8 a.m.

The Victim who died in the crash was identified as 35-year-old Laura Lee from Boyce. Officials said Laura was not wearing a seat belt. The crash occurred when a 2009 Jeep Wrangler driven by Lee struck the rear of the 2015 Toyota Corolla, travelling south on US Highway 71.

Both vehicles drifted off the roadway after the collision, causing a rollover. Lee was ejected from her Jeep.

She was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Centre and died later. The other passengers sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is yet unknown.

An Investigation into the crash is ongoing.

No signs of impairment.
