The Leander Police Department had previously reported a multi-vehicle accident over the weekend. The accident occurred at the intersection of Hero Way and 183A Toll Road frontage road at around 11:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a Toyota Rav 4 and a Chevrolet Suburban were the main vehicles involved in the collision. The driver and the front seat passenger of the Toyota were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The LPD has identified the victims as 35-year-old Jose Luis Rebollar Osorio and 69-year-old Avelina Osorio Lopez. There were others injured and they were taken to different hospitals for treatment.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
