The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident on Friday. The accident occurred on State Highway 250, near mile marker 319 and 11 miles north of Big Spring.
According to the officials, a semi-truck has been heading south on the highway when it began to skid due to the wet roadway. This caused the truck to swerve into the northbound lanes and crash into a different vehicle.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as 35-year-old Jaime Romero Alvarado.
The officials have not released any details regarding the occupants of the first vehicle that had caused the accident.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. There are no other details available at this time.
