The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Loving County.
According to the preliminary investigation, a man was operating a 2008 Freightliner truck with a trailer while heading east on SH 302, and a 2017 Freightliner truck was operating in the opposite direction. The 2017 Freightliner then turned into the eastbound lane and collided front-on with the 2008 Freightliner.
One person was declared dead at the scene. He is identified as Fernando Suiga Lopez, 35 of Mexico. The other accident victim was taken in critical condition to Medical Centre Hospital.
The fatal crash investigation is still going on by the officials. There are no other details available at this time.
