The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday night. The accident happened on SR 432 close to the 26th Avenue intersection in Longview.
A 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander and his 2003 Honda motorcycle collided, according to a WSP crash memo. The motorcycle operated by a 34-year-old man identified as Zachary C Davis rear-ended the SUV as it was moving westbound on Industrial Way.
Beyond the right shoulder, Davis and the motorbike left the road and entered a slough. After rolling, the Mitsubishi came to rest on its top, on the left shoulder.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV’s two passengers, who were both wearing seatbelts, were not injured in the collision, according to the State Patrol.
Drugs or alcohol, according to the State Patrol, may have contributed to the fatal crash.
