34-year-old Sajida Hussaini died after being hit by a vehicle in Gwinnett County (Gwinnett County, GA)

34-year-old Sajida Hussaini was identified as the Afghan refugee who lost her life after getting struck by a vehicle in Gwinnett County. The victim was six months pregnant.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place on Hewatt Road. The preliminary reports showed that she was exiting an Uber with her child on Hewatt Road and started to cross. At that point of time, she was hit by a car. She was not using a crosswalk when the incident happened. Her unborn child also died.

The woman’s son, who crossed the road with her, remained unharmed in the accident. According to the reports, she died while trying to find transportation from Snellville to her home in Clarkston. Police are trying to find out if speed contributed to the crash. Alcohol was considered to be a factor in the crash. Sajida Hussaini left behind her husband, four young daughters, and one son. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
