34-Year-Old Man Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Oakland (Oakland, CA)

The Oakland Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday evening. The accident occurred at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Church Street at around 5:44 p.m. 

According to the officials, a stolen 2020 Infiniti QX60 was headed west in the 6800 block of Foothill Boulevard at a high speed. The driver failed to stop at a red light which caused it to crash into another car. 

The driver of the stolen vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim, a 34-year-old man from Castro Valley, has not been disclosed at this time. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
