The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident in Midland County on Saturday. The accident occurred on State Highway 349 at around 3:45 p.m. 

According to the officials, a 2022 Ford F-150 was headed west on the highway while a 2012 Peterbilt truck was being driven east on the same road. The Ford lost control and went into the eastbound lanes which caused it to come into the path of the truck. The two vehicles collided. 

The driver of the Ford was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as 34-year-old Luis Castaneda. The other driver was identified as 36-year-old Ganiyu Olalekan Raji and was not injured. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available.
