A fatal motorcycle crash in Killeen on Friday afternoon has left one person dead and another in critical condition. The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Watercrest Drive and Bachelor Button Blvd.
According to the Killeen Police Department, a 2022 Chevrolet pickup truck was waiting to turn southbound. It was rear-ended by a 2018 Chevrolet SUV. The impact pushed the pickup truck into the eastbound lane, where it collided with a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle.
The motorcycle’s passenger, identified as 34-year-old Jessikah Richardson, was thrown over the pickup truck and pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle’s driver is in critical condition after being airlifted to Baylor Scott and White Hospital.
The fatal crash is under investigation. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
