Louisiana State Police Troop C responded to a pedestrian crash that claimed one life.
An initial investigation reveals Damion Jones, 34, from Gray was traveling in a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, east on LA Hwy 182, when he struck a pedestrian for unknown reasons and fled the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital following the hit-and-run crash, where he died later.
Jones was located at a residence in Gary and admitted for impairment.
Upon his arrest, he was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.
An investigation into the crash is under review.
