In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a fatal crash occurred on N. Fairgrounds Road in Midland. Around 2:15 a.m., Midland Police Officers responded to the 3200 block of N. Fairgrounds Road.
A 2017 black GMC pickup truck, driven by 34-year-old Carlos Enrique Soto, was travelling northbound. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a traffic pole on the southwest corner of the intersection of Wadley Avenue.
Unfortunately, Soto was pronounced dead in the motor vehicle accident as he was fatally injured. The officials have not reported if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The City of Midland is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the accident.
