The Desert Hot Springs Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday morning. The accident occurred near the intersection of Pierson Boulevard and Golden Eagle Way at around 9:50 a.m.
According to the officials, a silver Toyota Camry was headed west on Pierson when it approached the traffic light at the intersection of Golden Eagle Way. it then crashed into the back of a white Honda Odyssey that had stopped for the light.
The driver of the Camry was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The officials have identified him as 33-year-old William Shack IV.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The officials have reported that the victim suffered a medical emergency before the collision.
