The Turlock Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that killed a 33-year-old man, identified as Shane Hurst, in Turlock on Monday. The accident occurred in the 3100 block of West Christoffersen Parkway.
Hurst was walking home with his bicycle at around 5:30 p.m. He was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle that struck Hurst escaped the scene.
Hurst was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have not disclosed any information regarding the vehicle involved in the collision.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
