33-year-old Kameron J Harter and 34-year-old Megan M Flohn dead, Michael Lutzweit injured in a crash (Nashville, TN)

Authorities identified 33-year-old Kameron J Harter, of Hendersonville, and 34-year-old Megan M Flohn, of Madison, as the victims who lost their lives and 28-year-old Michael Lutzweit as the man who suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle accident that also injured another person on Tuesday afternoon in Nashville.

The fatal three-vehicle wreck took place on Old Hickory Boulevard near Pitts Avenue. According to the investigation reports, a Nissan Pathfinder turned west off Pitts Avenue and was in the center turn lane to merge into the left westbound lane of Old Hickory Boulevard. On the other hand, a Nissan Sentra was going at a high rate of speed in the left eastbound lane of Old Hickory Boulevard.

At some pint of time, the Sentra went over the yellow line into the turn lane and crashed head-on into the Pathfinder.  The force of the collision pushed the Pathfinder backwards and into a Volkswagen Jetta resulting in extensive front-end damage. The driver of the Jetta remained unharmed in the accident. The driver of the Pathfinder was taken to Skyline Medical Center with non-fatal injuries.

Both passengers of the Sentra suffered major injuries and were declared dead at the scene by the officials. They were identified on Thursday as Kameron J Harter and Megan M Flohn. The driver of the Sentra, 28-year-old Michael Lutzweit, and the second back seat passenger were rushed to Skyline Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Both had outstanding warrants at the time of the accident, officials mentioned.

The 33-year-old front seat passenger and the rear passengers in the Sentra were not buckled up at the time of the crash. The driver, Lutzweit, faces two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, one count of vehicular assault and one count of driving on a revoked license. He will be transported to jail once he is release from the hospital. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under review.
