According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Burleson County.
Officials confirmed that one person was killed due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 60, four miles west of Snook.
A 2006 Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound when it went into a ditch.
As a result of this, it over-corrected and shifted to the westbound lane.
It then struck a 2019 Ford Edge that was traveling in the westbound lane head-on.
The driver of the Toyota was identified as 33-year-old Jasmine Scott.
Scott was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
The driver of the Ford and the passengers of the vehicles were transported to CHI St. Joseph Region sustaining serious injuries.
The crash continues to be investigated by the Texas DPS.
