The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Columbus overnight.
The accident happened on Interstate 185 north.
According to the police, 33-year-old Jack Crabtree ran onto the main highway and was hit by numerous vehicles.
At 3:17 in the morning, Buddy Bryan, the coroner for Muscogee County, declared him dead.
It is unsure how the crash happened and what caused the crash
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
All northbound lanes are currently closed as a result of the incident, which involved a police vehicle.
Now that the southbound lanes have been opened again.
