The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reported a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday.
The accident occurred on Highway 90, near WT Montgomery Road, just before 9 p.m.
According to the officials, a Pontiac GTO and a white Volkswagen with a black stripe were racing each other on the westbound lanes.
The Pontiac, driven by Hammer John Felan, lost control and crashed through the median into the eastbound lanes where he collided with another vehicle.
The vehicle which was hit had a woman is her 40s and her 10-year-old daughter. They were both several injured and rushed to University Hospital.
The passenger of the Pontiac was also critically injured.
The identities of the injured victims have not been disclosed.
Felam is facing five charges. The driver of the Volkswagen fled the scene.
The fatal accident is still being investigated.
