Authorities identified 33-year-old Chelsey Kristine Cook as the woman who lost her life following a single-vehicle accident Monday night in Lubbock.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at Frankford Avenue and Woodrow Road shortly before 11:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that 33-year-old Chelsey Kristine Cook was driving a 2021 Hyundai Palisade southbound on Frankford Avenue.
Cook ran a stop sign at Frankford Avenue and Woodrow Road, passed through a ditch, hit a fence and a tree before coming to a stop. At this time, it is unknown if Cook was buckled up at the time of the collision. She suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
