A tragic incident in Grand Prairie resulted in the death of a 33-year-old man after a crash caused by a 24-year-old woman who is now in custody. The Grand Prairie police reported that the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. 

The crash involved a pick-up truck and a Jeep SUV on Belt Line Road near Lakeview Drive. Details about the events leading up to the crash are limited, but authorities suspect the driver of the pick-up truck was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The driver of the Jeep, identified as Carlos Alberto Aria Vera, died at the scene, while a passenger from the Jeep was hospitalized.

The suspect, Clesiz Leiva, is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with no further details released by the police at this time.
