According to the Washington State Patrol, a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle and a tractor occurred on Interstate 90 at around 10 a.m.
The officials stated that 33-year-old Brenda Cardenas Acuna was heading westbound in her Chevy Malibu on Interstate 90 when she tried to pass a tractor.
The woman driver did not leave enough space for the tractor and hit the left side of the tractor-trailer reported Trooper Collin Cumaravel.
The suspect was taken to the Samaritan Hospital for an ankle injury.
The officials have cited Acuna for driving under the influence.
