A fatal crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, at 15200 Westheimer Parkway in Houston. The Houston police are currently investigating the multi-vehicle accident.

The deceased, a 32-year-old woman, was driving a blue Nissan Sentra eastbound when she failed to maintain her lane, crossed the median, and entered the westbound lanes. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports from the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, the woman’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a silver Ford Fiesta traveling westbound on Westheimer Parkway.

The Ford’s 55-year-old driver, unable to stop in time, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
