32-year-old William Tucker Jr. killed after a hit-and-run accident in Nashville; driver sought (Nashville, TN)

32-year-old William Tucker Jr. lost his life following a hit-and-run accident overnight in East Nashville.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Eastland Avenue near Mitchell Road just after 2 a.m. after receiving reports of an auto-pedestrian crash. On arrival, they found 32-year-old William Tucker Jr. dead in the roadway. The preliminary investigation showed that Tucker had last been seen at 12:30 a.m. walking on Eastland Avenue near Riverside Drive.

Investigators believe that Tucker may have been in the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle. Metro police are trying to identify the hit-and-run driver. No details have yet been provided regarding the suspect’s vehicle that struck Tucker.

The crash remains under active review.
