On Friday, a 32-year-old man suffered critical injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck on West Side.
As per the initial information, the four-vehicle pile-up took place at about 9:27 p.m. in the 1200 block of S General McMullen Drive. The early reports showed that a 32-year-old man was the front passenger in a silver Toyota Corolla traveling southbound when it rear-ended a gray Dodge Caravan that was stopped at a red light.
The caravan spun around and hit the back of a white Ford F-250, which then slammed into a gray Ford Fusion. Finally, the Corolla spun around and ended up in the parking lot of a Dairy Queen. The 32-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital by ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
The incident did not lead to any other injuries, officials reported. The driver of the Corolla was charged with intoxication assault. The identity of the injured victim has not been revealed at this time. No additional information has been provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
