32-year-old man dead after a fiery crash in Bloomfield Township (Bloomfield Township, MI)

A 32-year-old man lost his life after a fiery crash Tuesday in Bloomfield Township.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 8:30 a.m. in the area of the southbound I-75 ramp to westbound Square Lake Road, near Opdyke Road. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle driven by the man veered off the roadway, slammed into the woods and caught fire.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they located a burning vehicle in the wooded area with the engine running and the accelerator still pressed. A 32-year-old man was found dead in the driver’s seat. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No other details are available.

The crash remains under investigation.
