The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported a motor vehicle accident in San Jacinto on Friday. The accident occurred on the Ramona Expressway, just west of Warren Road at around 10:30 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. An SUV was headed east on the highway at a high speed and was approaching a minivan. The driver was unable to stop in time which caused it to crash into the back of the other vehicle. Both vehicles veered off the road.
The force of the collision caused the driver of the SUV to get thrown out of the vehicle. He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 32-year-old Luis Ramirez.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available.
