According to the Beaumont Police, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Beaumont on Tuesday.
The crash happened on Interstate 10 at Laurel at around 5:50 a.m.
According to the Police, an 18-wheeler box truck, a GMC Sierra Pickup truck, and a 2016 Ford Escape were involved in the collision.
The driver of the 18-wheeler truck traveling eastbound lost control of the truck struck the center divider and crashed into the Ford Escape.
A 32-year-old Johnathan Allen Droddy was identified as the driver of the Ford who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the GMC truck also struck the center divider but did not suffer any injuries.
Additional details regarding the fatal crash are currently not available.
