A multi-vehicle accident unfolded on Sunday night near Spokane International Airport, leading to charges of vehicular homicide and DUI for 23-year-old Philip Garcia.
The fatal crash occurred on I-90 when Garcia, entering the neighbouring lane, collided with the back of a 2014 Kia carrying four occupants. The impact caused the Kia to roll off the Interstate, ultimately coming to a rest on its side.
Devastatingly, 32-year-old Jessica Wright was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kia’s driver, a 23-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital for her injuries. Meanwhile, two boys aged 2 and 4 emerged unscathed from the crash.
