According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday night in Bryan. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on State Highway OSR, near FM 1940.
A Toyota Tacoma traveling eastbound crossed into the westbound lane. It thereby struck a 2007 Dodge Pickup that was going westward.
The driver of the Dodge was identified as 32-year-old Armando Pineda. Pineda was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver of the Toyota was transported to St. Joseph Regional Health Hospital sustaining serious injuries.
Other insights into the wreck remain unknown. The cause of the collision is yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the TDPS.
