Tragedy struck early Monday morning in Richardson as a 32-year-old individual lost their life in a motor vehicle accident on northbound U.S. 75, according to police reports. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. near Belt Line Road, where a northbound Lexus initially collided with the center concrete divider on the highway.
Both the driver and passenger exited the vehicle, but a second crash ensued when a Honda sedan struck the Lexus, causing it to spin into the passenger, who was outside the vehicle. The Lexus passenger, identified as Abed-Isaac Pierre of Florida, tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The fatal crash led to the closure of all northbound lanes into the morning rush hour, with traffic diverted off the highway until approximately 7 a.m.
