The Santa Fe Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Friday. The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of an Interstate 25 exit just before 5 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle was using the exit when it lost control. This caused the vehicle to crash and roll several times before finally coming to a rest.
There were a total of four people present in the vehicle. A 31-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead. The remaining two passengers and the driver – identified as a 14-year-old, an 11-year-old, and a 31-year-old man – were injured but not seriously. Their identities are not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
