According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Stanislaus County on Monday. The crash happened near River Road and Sawyer Avenue at around 8 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 31-year-old woman and an unknown woman were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the van appears to have missed a bend and the van overturned.
According to the deputies, a 31-year-old woman suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the woman has not been disclosed at this time.
Some portions of the area near River Road and Sawyer Avenue are blocked for further investigation. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
