The Texarkana Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred on Buchanan Road at around 6:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a motorcycle and a pickup truck were involved in a collision. The motorcycle was headed down the southbound lanes when it was hit by a pickup truck.
The driver of the motorcycle was critically injured and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The officials have since identified the victim as 31-year-old Rueben Larry.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
