31-year-old Jordan David Bahena killed after a single-vehicle crash in Pontiac (Pontiac, MI)

Authorities identified 31-year-old Jordan David Bahena, from Oakland County, as the man who lost his life following a traffic collision on Saturday in Pontiac.

Officials actively responded to the area of Joslyn Road at Columbia Avenue at 2:13 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. According to the investigation reports, the man was heading south on Joslyn when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle as a result of which the vehicle crashed into a light pole and flipped over.

The driver, identified as Jordan David Bahena, was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The man was reportedly the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was not buckled up at the time of the accident. Speed might have contributed to the collision, officials reported. It is unknown if alcohol played a role in the accident. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under review.
