According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Stanislaus County on Friday. The crash happened on Harding Avenue, approaching Moffett Road at around 8:45 a.m.
According to the investigators, a Chevrolet pickup and a 31-year-old were involved in the collision. The Chevrolet driver traveling eastbound sideswiped a metal pole, went down an embankment, and landed on the roof.
A 31-year-old Dylan Linhares was identified as the Chevrolet driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved.
The accident is still being investigated at this time. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
