According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday in Riverside County. Officials confirmed that a mother and two of her children were killed due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred northwest of Palm Springs on the eastbound 10 Freeway.
A Tesla and a Chevrolet Suburban collided with one another. This resulted in the Chevrolet crashing the center divider and overturning.
Out of the 6 occupants of the vehicle, three people were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The deceased victims were identified as 31-year-old Cecelia Villalobos and her two daughters aged 8 and 11.
The other passengers sustained serious injuries. Other insights into the wreck remain unknown. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
