The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident on Monday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 31-year-old Antonio Martinez.
Around 10 a.m. the crash happened at on Crockett Martin Road, eight miles southeast of Conroe when Martinez was driving in a 1995 Ford Mustang, he was traveling southbound when he entered the northbound lanes, colliding with a 2023 Hyundai Sonata.
Later Martinez was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Sonata was taken to HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe.
The events leading to the collision are not yet known. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
