According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Carson on Tuesday.
The crash happened at the intersection of E. 220th St. and Avalon Blvd at around 5 a.m.
According to the reports, an unknown vehicle and an unknown pedestrian were involved in the collision.
The officials stated that a 30-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street and was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The unknown pedestrian suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead following the collision.
The Carson Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
